With so my ways to make money online, you may wonder “why affiliate marketing?”.

When you search online, there are a lot of people and websites telling you a lot of different things about making money online.  Some try to get you signed up to take surveys, some want you to become a part of their multi-level-marketing campaign, some say that you should buy training to become a medical transcriptionist.  Although you may find that one of these suits you perfectly, affiliate marketing is a true way to make money.

Yes, people do make money taking surveys.  The problem is that they take a survey one time, make a dollar or so, and then they have to do it over and over to keep the money coming in.   And this is only if you can get to the end of the survey.  Many times you will be frustrated to find that you spend 5 minutes getting through a survey when you are informed that you are not a match and the survey is over.  What a convenient way for these companies to get your information and waste your time.  Not to mention very underhanded.  I find surveys to be too little money, IF you can even finish one.

Some may tell you that transcription is the way to go.  At the same time they are trying to sell you on a medical transcription training course.  Yes, it is true, medical transcriptionists can make decent money for each piece they transcribe.  But you have to stay there and type day after day to keep money coming in.  There are some companies that will hire you for everyday transcription services…transcribing tweets and more…this is great fun but the pay is incredibly low for the amount of time you put in.  It is a very fun job if you don’t need to make much money.

Affiliate marketing and building niche sites is my preferred way to make money.  Once you have put in the work and have a lot of traffic coming in, you can take a few days off and still see money coming in.  Passive income at it’s finest!  Affiliate marketers can make decent money and even more than a lot of people make at their day jobs.  But you need to put the time and the hard work in.  Affiliate marketing takes dedication and self-discipline.

This is my answer to “why affiliate marketing?”.  To me, although it takes work, it is the best return for your efforts for a long time to come.
